Position Overview

First Baptist Academy, serving students from infants through eighth grade, is seeking a Warrior Field facilities manager to oversee the daily care, maintenance and preparation of Warrior Field athletic facilities. This position also includes coaching middle school sports as needed each season, supporting student-athletes through skill development, teamwork and Christ-centered leadership. Girls sports include cross country, volleyball, cheer, basketball, track and field and golf. Boys sports include cross country, football, basketball, soccer, track and field and golf. This position reports to the athletic director.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Empowerment – Maintain safe, clean and well-prepared athletic facilities that create an exceptional environment for student-athletes, coaches and guests.

• Regularly inspect and maintain Warrior Field athletic fields and facilities.
• Prepare fields for practices, games and events, including goals, nets and other equipment setup.
• Provide water and ice for teams and ensure athletic equipment is prepared and in working order.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of locker rooms, restrooms, storage areas, bleachers and other Warrior Field spaces.
• Oversee the setup and takedown of equipment for athletic events and ensure proper storage after use.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and promptly address hazards or maintenance needs.
• Manage inventory of field maintenance supplies, equipment and materials, ordering replacements as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs and equipment usage.

Comprehensive Personalization – Support the athletic development of middle school student-athletes through age-appropriate instruction, encouragement and mentorship.

• Coach one or more middle school sports teams as needed each season.
• Plan and execute practices focused on skill development, teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship.
• Evaluate student-athletes and develop appropriate game strategies, lineups and positions.
• Provide instruction and encouragement that supports the individual growth and development of student-athletes.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and respectful team environment aligned with FBA’s mission and values.

Collective Collaboration – Work effectively with coaches, school leadership and staff to support the daily operations of Warrior Field and the success of the Warrior Athletics program.

• Coordinate with the athletic director and assistant athletic director regarding facility needs, safety concerns, athletic events and field preparation.
• Collaborate with coaches and school staff to ensure facilities and equipment are prepared for practices, games and events.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, coaches and school staff regarding schedules, expectations and team progress.
• Respond to the direction of the athletic director and other personnel with delegated authority.
• Attend faculty meetings and actively engage in student life and the greater FBA community.

Supportive Guidance – Promote the safety, character and well-being of student-athletes while modeling Christ-centered leadership on and off the field.

• Serve as a mentor and positive role model to student-athletes, promoting character development, academic achievement and sportsmanship.
• Encourage student-athletes to recognize and develop their God-given gifts.
• Maintain active supervision of students to support their safety, conduct and well-being.
• Promote responsible care and use of athletic facilities, buildings and equipment.
• Demonstrate patience, encouragement and Christ-like character when working with middle school students.

Continuous Professional Growth – Pursue ongoing development in facilities management, field maintenance, coaching and athletic best practices.

• Actively pursue professional development in coaching, teaching movement skills and athletic field maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, groundskeeping or a related field.
• Experience coaching middle school sports or youth athletic teams.
• Strong knowledge of athletic field maintenance, including turf management and equipment operation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, coaches and school staff.

• Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, bend, perform field maintenance and safely operate necessary machinery.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION OVERVIEW

First Baptist Academy is seeking Encore staff to join our school year team. This role is a part-time position that oversees the students that must remain on campus after school is out until their parents are able to pick up the students. The hours of the position are from 2:45PM-6:15PM from the first day of school through the last day of school (9 1/2 months). Holidays are consistent with the school calendar.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise the children involved in the Encore program.
• Follow the schedule of each grade level and oversee homework time, snacks, and playground, gym, and classroom time. Takes daily attendance.
• Assist with all minor medical emergencies after 4:00PM. Notifies parents if further medical attention is necessary.

Position Overview

The substitute teacher position maintains the classroom atmosphere of orderliness and respect exhibiting professionalism and maturity through the unknowns of daily classroom routines and subject content. This is a part time position that varies in hours as needed.

• Arrive promptly at 7:15AM
• Cover the teacher’s assigned duty (early morning drop off, lunch duty, carpool), when applicable.
• Read and review all teacher notes, preferably ahead of time, if possible.
• Take attendance
• Have students show respect, participate, and stand for the morning announcements, prayer, and pledge.
• Follow class schedules and times on task, as provided.
• Replace teacher materials in drawers or shelves provided.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and safety.
• Provide proper supervision at all times, insuring the health and safety of students.
• Display appropriate love and justice for all students.
• Keep all students on task, making no allowance for foolishness, and holding students accountable for their choices.
• Finish the day, checking off all teacher-expected work.
• Give feedback to the teacher by making notes of things that were important: discipline matters, student concerns, and incomplete work for any subject, etc.
