Admission Process Admission Process

As the admissions season for the 2026-2027 school year begins, we know that finding the right private school for your student can be overwhelming and knowing where to start can be equally challenging. While it may seem early to be looking for a private school for the following school year, early fall is the perfect time to visit schools, attend admissions preview events and ask your questions.

At First Baptist Academy, our admissions team is here to help your family navigate the admissions process to make it as seamless as possible. First Baptist Academy launched applications on August 1, 2025, for the 2026-2027 school year, and we encourage you to submit your student’s application before the January 19, 2026, deadline. The admissions process can take several months, so applying early can help to ensure a smooth experience.

FBA serves infants through eighth grade students, so your process might look a little different depending on your student's age. Our website offers a ‘Start Your Journey’ tool to help you navigate the process that’s right for you. Enter your student’s birth date and see the steps appropriate for your family.

For all students, the First Baptist Academy admissions process starts by filling out an inquiry form. Once you inquire, you will receive an email from our admissions team to answer your questions and schedule a tour to visit our campus. You will also receive access to your FBA Admissions Portal, where you will be able to begin your application.

When filling out a private school application for your student, you can expect to pay an application fee, answer questions about your student’s school history and about your family. Once the application process has started, you will request transcripts and teacher recommendations from your current school and submit a copy of your student’s birth certificate to the admissions office. All documentation must be submitted by February 13, 2026.

We invite you to visit First Baptist Academy, whether that’s on a personal tour with the admissions team or a preview event like our PreK3-Eighth Grade Preview. Our preview events, with dates available this fall, are opportunities for you to hear from the admissions team, student and parent ambassadors and members of leadership. This time will help you learn more about how FBA walks alongside families from the application process through each student’s educational journey and life beyond FBA.

Once you have applied to First Baptist Academy, our admissions team will contact you with the next steps regarding your student's testing, principal interviews and shadow days for middle school applicants.

As part of the admissions process, FBA requires two types of testing for prek through fourth grade applicants: on-site testing, scheduled in 2026, and the WPPSI or WISC test, depending on their birth date. The admissions office will send links to register for these tests once you’ve submitted the application. Middle school applicants, fifth through eighth grade, will be required to complete the ISEE test.

Once you’ve completed the admissions process at First Baptist Academy, you can expect to receive a decision from FBA on March 6, 2026. Upon receipt of acceptance, you have until March 26, 2026, to let FBA know that you would like to join the Warrior Family.

“Choosing the right educational journey for your student is an important decision,” said Director of Admissions Mary Torregrossa. “First Baptist Academy is ready to guide you through the admissions process to give you clarity and confidence every step of the way.”

Whether your family is just beginning your search or you're ready to submit your application, our admissions team is available to help. We invite you to explore our website and visit our campus to see what makes First Baptist Academy a private school leader that equips students with the Truth of God’s Word while developing their character, intellect and potential to explore, create, challenge and lead.
