Lower School Instructional Aide
First Baptist Academy, serving students Infants through 8th Grade, is seeking a Lower School Instructional Aide. This full-time position will primarily support our Bridge Kindergarten class, as well as perform other daily duties as directed by the Lower School Principal. This position reports to the Lower School Principal.

Position Overview
First Baptist Academy, serving students Infants through 8th Grade, is seeking a Middle School Spanish Teacher. The Spanish teacher will plan curriculum and instruction for middle school students, while supporting FBA’s vision, mission, and strategic goals with students and parents. Administrative Assistant/Attendance
Position Overview
First Baptist Academy, serving students Infants through 8th Grade, seeks an experienced Administrative Assistant/Attendance to join our team. This role is responsible for greeting visitors at the front desk, answering the school’s main phone line, recording student attendance, and administrative duties for the business office. This is a year around, full-time position. Hours are 7:30AM-4:00PM and will have holidays off in accordance with the school calendar. This position reports to the Director of Finance & Operations.

- Serves as administrative assistant to the Business Office
- Serve as front desk receptionist by answering main phone line and relaying messages to students, teachers and staff

- Stay up to date on school safety policies and monitor school access points
- Adhere to the school calendar and coordinate with the church for space sharing

Physical Education Teacher
Position Overview
First Baptist Academy, serving students Infants through 8th Grade, is seeking a Physical Education teacher. This teacher will also need to be able to coach certain Middle School sports as needed per season. Girl sports are Cross Country, Volleyball, Cheer, Basketball, Track & Field and Golf. Boy sports are Cross Country, Football, Basketball, Soccer, Track & Field and Golf. This position reports to the Athletic Director.

Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum planning as well as developing lesson plans
- Working closely with classroom teachers to help students gain greater understanding of material
- Teach a few health or fitness related sessions in lower school classrooms
- Actively pursuing professional development in coaching and teaching movement skills
- Teaching PreK-8th Grade PE classes
- Assists administration by being observant and supervisory at all times to care for the safety of students, their good conduct and well-being of buildings and equipment

Encore Director
Position Overview
First Baptist Academy, serving students Infants through 8th Grade, seeks an after-school care program director for Bridge Kinder-8th Grades. The after-school care program at FBA is called Encore. This is a full-time position from 10:30AM until 6:30PM beginning with teacher in-service a week before the first day of school through the last day of school. Holidays are consistent with the school calendar. This position reports to the Lower and Middle School Principals.

Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and hire Encore teachers and complete all steps involved in the process (submitting background check and payroll forms to Business Office, scheduling CPR, as needed)
- Train and supervise Encore teachers
- Create grade level rotation schedules to include homework, snacks, Lawn/playground/gym free-play time, and other locations such as library and classrooms
- Oversee supervision of students
- Manage Encore Brightwheel account
- Coordinate extra-curricular programs by communicating with vendors
- Communicate with School Nurse
- Administrative duties as outlined, and other duties as assigned

Position Overview
First Baptist Academy is seeking a full time Middle School Science Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. The Middle School Science teacher will work with closely in a 7th/8th grade teaching team and report to the Middle School Principal.

Substitute Teacher | Primary, Lower, Middle School
Position Overview
The substitute teacher position maintains the classroom atmosphere of orderliness and respect exhibiting professionalism and maturity through the unknowns of daily classroom routines and subject content. This is a part time position that varies in hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Arrive promptly at 7:15AM
- Cover the teacher’s assigned duty (early morning drop off, lunch duty, carpool), when applicable.
- Read and review all teacher notes, preferably ahead of time, if possible.
- Take attendance
- Have students show respect, participate, and stand for the morning announcements, prayer, and pledge.
- Follow class schedules and times on task, as provided.
- Replace teacher materials in drawers or shelves provided.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and safety.
- Provide proper supervision at all times, insuring the health and safety of students.
- Display appropriate love and justice for all students.
- Keep all students on task, making no allowance for foolishness, and holding students accountable for their choices.

Primary School Assistant | Part-Time
Position Overview
First Baptist Academy is seeking a Part Time Assistant to join the Primary School team. The Primary School Part-Time Assistant position is Monday-Friday from 12:00-6:00PM. The ideal applicant should have experience with children ages Infant through 5 years old. The applicant must be an active Christian, be nurturing, love children and be able to relate to them.

Required Qualifications
- Candidate must be in good health with the physical stamina and agility to work with children.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Have the ability to sit frequently on the floor with children, stand for periods of 30 minutes, walk at a steady pace, and bend at the knee and squat while attending to the children's bathroom needs.
- Needs to work well in a team environment alongside two assistants as well as with the Director of Early Childhood and Office Administration.
- Must accrue at least 24 hours of training in applicable areas of each child development studies.
- Keep up with current developments in education by voluntarily attending professional meetings, working on advanced degrees, etc.

Encore Staff
Position Overview
First Baptist Academy is seeking Encore Staff to join our school year team. This role is a part-time position that oversees the students that must remain on campus after school is out until their parents are able to pick up the students. The hours of the position are from 2:45PM-6:15PM from the first day of school through the last day of school (9 1/2 months). Holidays are consistent with the school calendar.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the children involved in the Encore program.
- Follow the schedule of each grade level and oversee homework time, snacks, and playground, gym, and classroom time. Takes daily attendance.
- Assist with all minor medical emergencies after 4:00PM. Notifies parents if further medical attention is necessary.
