How does the middle school counselor provide academic support?

The counselor works closely with the Middle School Principal to review the academic ‘At Risk” reports which are maintained by the school Registrar and to communicate regularly with the teachers and CAS Staff about which students seem to be struggling and what can be done to aid and support them. The counselor also communicates with parents via email and phone about students’ progress and challenges and can setup and facilitate parent/teacher meeting or conferences.
