First Baptist Academy depends on the generosity of our entire community to sustain and advance our mission. The FBA community helps develop a school of learners that seek to explore, create, challenge, and lead, and understands that we need everyone to contribute in time, talent, and financial resources. Every aspect of our school, from academics to fine arts, athletics to technology, relies on the support and the partnership of our supporters.

The FBA Book Fair is a week-long opportunity to access new books in the FBA Library and is held the week of Grandparents'/Special Friends Day. Come visit for a great opportunity to buy some books for your kids while helping build the FBA library at the same time.
Each year, there is a Family Night complete with games, pizza and access to the Book Fair! Volunteer signups will be posted online to work the cash registers, decorations, and organization.
Warrior Day is FBA's field day at Warrior Field at the end of the school year. Play a game of Family Foosball, race your kids through an inflatable Obstacle Course, show off your skills at the Field Goal Kick competition, all the while fundraising for FBA's local and global philanthropy partnership! Then end your day with a family picnic to celebrate the end of the school year. This exciting day allows both students and parents to participate together in friendly competition with activities at Warrior Field.

Hello! My name is Kelle Lambert and it is my honor and privilege to be First Friends President for the 2017/18 school year!
My husband, Chris and I have 2 boys, Wade and Gage, who have attended FBA for the past 2 years. Next year we will have a 2nd Grader and kindergartener. We are super excited for all the fun adventures we are sure to experience next year. These past 2 years at FBA have not only been a blessing to our boys but to our ENTIRE family. We have really seen our boys grow physically, mentally and most importantly SPIRITUALLY by the constant pouring of love, hard work and dedication given by staff, teachers and even parents at FBA. We could not be more happy with our experience here and look forward to many more years as FBA Warriors.
Over these past 2 years, I have had the pleasure of serving with First Friends first on the Teacher Appreciation Committee alongside Amy Ratliff and most recently as Vice-President. Volunteering with First Friends has given me an opportunity to meet and fellowship with other parents and to be more involved with the school itself. As president, I encourage and WELCOME ALL parents to volunteer in whatever capacity you can. I PROMISE it will be such a blessing in your life! There are so many opportunities to volunteer and here are a few of the MANY opportunities we currently have open for the 2017/18 school year:
1) First Friends Board
2) Room Parent Coordinator
3) Event Chair/Co-Chairs
4) Uniform Resale
5) Teacher Appreciation
If you are interested in serving or getting more information in these or any any other opportunities, please contact me through the Advancement Department.
Once again, thank you for this opportunity to serve you. I look forward to partnering with parents, administration and teachers to continue the Mission of FBA-to equip students with the Truth of God's Word while developing their character, intellect, and potential to explore, create, challenge and lead.
Moms in Prayer is part of a worldwide interdenominational Christ-centered prayer ministry. Prayer brings God's power into our lives, and it is with this conviction that the moms in prayer group gather with purpose to cover our children, school, teachers, and staff in prayer. We meet Tuesdays after morning drop-off in The Garden Room, right outside the church's cafe. You don't have to be there every week, come when you can.
Look for the Moms in Prayer mailbox in the front office of the school, next to the entrance to the Library. This locked box will offer the parents and staff at FBA a safe and confidential opportunity to submit prayer requests. You can include your name or remain anonymous. It will be an honor to lift your needs up to the Father.
Benevolence First Friends wants to reach out to FBA families in their times of need. Please let us know of any needs within our FBA community.
We always need library help! Volunteers are needed to read to classes, to check-out books, to check-in books, and to shelve books.
Room & Grade Level Parents
This year, room parents and grade captains will be identified through first come, first served sign up, taking place at Orientation. If you are interested in volunteering in classroom events, contact your room parent.
In the Primary School and Lower School, room parents help with classroom parties during the year, which vary by grade level, but usually include Christmas, Valentine's Day and End of the Year. Room parents are also responsible for organizing voluntary collections for teacher gifts for birthdays, Christmas and end of the year. Giving money to these collections is completely voluntary, but our room parents organize these collections, so that those who want to contribute will have the opportunity to do so. Room Parents and Grade Level Captain may also be asked to help with field trips and other special grade-level activities.
Open House is a fabulous opportunity for you to visit your child's classroom and see what wonderful learning is happening in the room. This event happens at the beginning of the school year. First Friends plans to provide ice cream treats that evening, encouraging some FBA fellowship!
Mother/Son Nerf Wars
Come out for our Mother/Son Nerf Wars event during the fall! This exciting event is at Warrior Field and a fun way for mothers and sons to bond over a competitive event.

Family FBA movie night is when our families are invited to join us for dinner, mini-movies and a Featured Presentation on a large blow-up screen! This event makes for a great night for our FBA families at the end of the school year. Stay tuned for dates!
Our FBA families love these yummy pastries that you can feed to your company over the holidays. They are easy to prepare and delicious to eat!
Box Tops and Labels for Education
First Friends accepts your Box Tops and Labels for Education donations throughout the school year. We will run various competitions to encourage families to clip those Box Tops and Labels for Education from your cereal boxes and other household products. By collecting and turning in these Box Tops and Labels, First Friends raises money for FBA.
In the spring, First Friends offer FBA families the opportunity to order their school supplies from us and avoid the hassle of finding the items on your own. You will save money on your supplies while also raising money for First Friends’ events and activities.
Students new to middle school will need a locker shelf - buy yours from First Friends to give back to FBA!
Friends of Fine Arts is a parent organization dedicated to helping support the Fine Arts Department at FBA. There are volunteer opportunities to help art, band, choir, drama, and Primary & Lower School music and art. Friends of Fine Arts helps display students' artwork all over the school, coordinate receptions after the Fine Arts performances, helps out with student's hair and make up for each performance, and sets up and decorates the stage for Fine Arts events. They need lots of parental support to make their yearly production successful! Friends of Fine Arts helps the FBA fine arts department in many ways and we would love to have your help.
Booster Club is a way to get involved with FBA Athletics and help support the teams, coaches, and FBA community at games and events. There are volunteer opportunities to get involved with concessions at games, ordering and organizing spirit wear, and helping fundraise for the Athletics Department at FBA. Booster Club is a vital support to FBA Athletics and have raised money to fund areas such as athletic uniforms and the back up goal at Warrior Field.
