GYMBOREE ON THE GO!
Each week, a certified Gymboree instructor comes to First Baptist Academy's Primary School and shares with our infants and toddlers the Gymboree experience. Parents are welcome to attend. STRETCH & GROW
Our older children experience the marvels of Stretch-n-Grow once a week. This physical education program teachers our two’s, PreK3, PreK4, and PreK5 the importance of exercise and healthy eating! TUMBLING & GYMNASTICS
A partnership with the Tumbling Company of Houston offers families of older children an opportunity to experience the world of tumbling, gymnastics, and dance. Some of the features of these classes include:
- To encourage children through a success oriented, positive learning experiences in a non-competitive, athletic setting.
- Uphold Christian values
- Well supervised, age appropriate activities for ages 2+;
- Make-up classes are available at nearby locations should your child miss a class.

BALLET & TAP CLASS
In conjunction with our partnership with the Tumbling Company of Houston and Dance ‘N Fun, First Baptist Academy's Primary School offers dance classes (creative movement—ballet, dance progressions and tap) for children between the ages of 2 to 5 years. ARTS ALIVE!
ARTS ALIVE! is a creative movement, creative drama and dance class. By using a theme and music as a springboard the leader transforms the environment into a magical place where fun and learning can take place. Through the use of role-playing, props, costume pieces, visual aids, puppets, music, and bubbles the participants are transported to places such as "The Growing Garden," "The Funtastic Farm," or "The Circle Circus!"
SPANISH
As a part of our extensive curriculum, Spanish classes are offered once a week for all PreK3, PreK4, and PreK5 classrooms. Our younger students will have Spanish class in their classroom once each week led by one of our qualified bi-lingual PreK teachers. The older students in PreK4 and PreK5 will experience Spanish with the Spanish teacher from our sister school, First Baptist Academy. Each week, the students and their teachers will travel to FBA’s Spanish classroom for their instructional time. Our goal at this level is to encourage conversational Spanish.
ART & MUSIC
To compliment the Arts program at First Baptist Academy's Primary School, our older students (PreK4 & PreK5) will travel to FBA once each week to share fun and exciting activities with the FBA Art and Music teachers. Students will be accompanied by their classroom teachers during these enhancement activities.
COMPUTER CLASSES
PK3, PK4 & PK5 students experience computer class in the FBA computer lab. Beginning keyboarding skills and using a mouse along with special programs, enable the students to become experienced users of technology.
LIBRARY CLASSES
Library classes are available for PK3, PK4 & PK5 students in the FBA Library once a week. Students are introduced to the parts of a book, basic book care and the excitement of reading.
