Middle School at FBA builds on the academic, social, physical and spiritual foundations that are built in our Primary and Lower Schools. We want to do more than just prepare our students for high school and college. We want to partner with our parents to build a community that:
- promotes intellectual curiosity,
- develops a child’s moral integrity and character,
- encourages self-discipline while building a strong work ethic,
- advancing their physical and mental fitness,
- but most importantly, cultivates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in the continuation of their Christian walk.
Through project-based, collaborative instruction, our teachers are creating a challenging environment that meets each student where they are, setting the expectations higher and helping them achieve success. Students are given multiple leadership opportunities through areas such as Yearbook, Student Council, Cheerleading, Athletics, and the Fine Arts. These opportunities give students the ability to learn about themselves and discover their God-given talents. Over 90% of our students in grades 6-8 participate in interscholastic sports.
Technology plays a significant role in our Middle School. Beginning in fifth grade, parents purchase tablet PC’s for their student to use at school and at home. Students can use their laptops for everything from note-taking to producing multimedia projects. The goal of our 1:1 program is to allow students to use technology to develop the 6 C’s of 21st century learning: critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, cross-cultural competency, and character.
Our approach is enthusiastically and boldly Christian. Our students experience a curriculum that is Biblically integrated – because God is at work in all areas of our lives. Come and see for yourself the difference of an FBA education. We look forward to partnering with you as you endeavor to raise your child with a Kingdom Education.
Grace and Peace,
Middle School Principal
