The early school years provide the educational foundation that students build upon for the rest of their lives. In the Lower School at First Baptist Academy, we understand how critical this foundation is to the students' future success as a private Christian school.
Our faculty believes in the importance of experiential learning - in the context of an engaging and robust curriculum. Since all teachers pursue professional development opportunities, they stay current on the latest educational findings and apply this knowledge to the instruction they provide in the classroom.
There are so many voices in today’s society instructing our children on the paths to take in life. Many of these ways do not align with the Word of God. In John 14:6 Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” I take pride in being an agent for Christ, guiding the smallest of his children to listen to His voice and follow His way.
“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:14) Children are precious in the eyes of our Savior and I hold a special place for them in my heart. The wonder of their imagination, joy in their hearts, innocence and love overflowing are things I admire most about children. I make it a point to hold on to my inner child and never lose sight of the joys of youth. My child-like faith, daily laughter and ability to play are things I will always hold dear.
I am excited about the year ahead!
In service to Him,
