Admissions Process
1. Visit our Campus
- Fall and Spring Open Houses (see Community Events on website)
- Schedule a personal tour through our Admissions Office
2. Turn in the Application for Admission
The following forms must be turned in to the Admissions Office before the file will be submitted to the Admissions Committee for review:
- Application with non-refundable application fee
- Copy of birth certificate
- Current immunization record
- Transcripts showing three years of grades and standardized testing.
- Teacher recommendation forms (from one English and one Math teacher)
- Forms are available online at www.hfba.org
- Copy of custodial rights (applies to applicants of legally separated or divorced parents)
3. Testing
The following placement tests are required for PK- Grade 4 applicants:
- Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten – One-hour developmental assessment
- Grades 1 & 2 – Stanford 9 Testing
- Grades 3 & 4 – Comprehensive Testing Program 4 (CTP4)
- Grades 5 - 8 – Independent Schools Entrance Exam (ISEE)
Call the Admissions Office to schedule test date/time for Pre-Kindergarten-5th grade applicants. A $50.00 testing fee is due on or before the test date.
Schedule the ISEE Test for grades 5-8 at www.iseetest.org . A $75.00 testing fee is payable to ISEE.
4. Attend Interview
A parent-and-student interview is required with a grade level principal once testing is successfully completed.
5. Review by Admission's Committee
All complete, potential student application files are reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Applicants who meet the admission’s criteria of First Baptist Academy will be notified in writing of acceptance.
