The Annual Fund is the primary vehicle by which First Baptist Academy raises financial resources to enrich and enhance the academic, fine arts, athletic and inner-city scholarship programs of the school. This fundraising effort enables FBA to make up the difference between tuition receipts and what it actually costs to educate each of our students. Gifts to the Annual Fund are used to meet operational needs during the school year in which they are received.
As a private Christian school, FBA operates without financial support from local, state or federal governments. Tuition and fees do not cover the true cost of a FBA education. We rely heavily on Annual Fund contributions to maintain operations and to balance the school's budget.
Undesignated gifts allow the Board and Administration to apply support where it is most needed at the time of the donation. However, gifts (or a portion of a gift) may be designated to one of the following:
• Academic Enrichment |
Every gift makes a difference, no matter what size it may be. Some families will be able to give more than others. Our prayer is that every family in the school will participate in some way – not with equal gifts, but with equal sacrifice and commitment. Maximizing participation is our goal. Besides the economic benefit to FBA, 100% parent participation is an important criterion for requesting grants from corporations and foundations.
Donors who give $500 or more to the Annual Fund will receive an engraved brick in FBA's rotunda. You can choose to dedicate the brick in honor of or in memory of someone or a class. Bricks are engraved every summer and can be viewed by the first day of the following school year.
Contributions can be made as a lump sum donation or in installments – whichever you prefer. Payments can be submitted online, by mail, by phone or in person.
