Mission and Vision

The mission of First Baptist Academy is to equip students with the Truth of God's Word while developing their character, intellect, and potential to explore, create, challenge, and lead.

First Baptist Academy is dedicated to the preparation of leaders. Throughout their years at FBA, students learn leadership skills and put them into practice in and out of the classroom. The lessons they learn provide a solid foundation for their future years in high school, college and beyond.

SERVANT LEADERS

Students at First Baptist Academy are encouraged to give back to the community and follow Christ's example by serving others in all its activities and traditions. Faculty and staff validate each student's God-given gifts and nurture their development in giving to others and making the world a better place. Students are taught the importance of sharing and supporting others in their actions and prayers.

RESPONSIBLE LEADERS

Teachers and staff at First Baptist Academy provide a sound framework for lifelong decision-making for their students. Teachers hold students to high standards for respect and responsibility to both themselves and their neighbors. Mentoring is encouraged throughout all activities at FBA, and older students share their life experiences with younger children at the school.

ACADEMIC LEADERS

First Baptist Academy offers a distinct approach to instruction that allows our graduates to become leaders in the classroom. In addition to our core academic subjects, FBA emphasizes three vital skills which allow students to master a wide range of challenges – creativity, problem-solving and critical thinking. This is achieved through active questioning that leads students from familiar examples to new understanding of more complex concepts.

ATHLETIC LEADERS

First Baptist Academy offers a variety of athletic programs for all our students. The emphasis is to teach Christian character and responsibilities while building fundamental skills and sharpening their technical ones. We encourage participation and good sportsmanship as the players learn to work together as a team, from our Elementary Sports Program Network (ESPN) to the Middle School program.

FINE ARTS LEADERS

First Baptist Academy offers students many opportunities to explore their creative dreams and passions through the performing and visual arts. While discovering and nurturing their God-given talents, students come to value originality and excellence. Also, they learn that in the arts, leadership is important whether they are on stage or behind the scenes.
