Just like any other family, First Baptist Academy has many cherished traditions that are passed down from year to year – uniting students, parents, faculty, staff and alumni in a common bond.
Some traditions take place in the classroom, tying together different areas of study in cross-curricular activities that provide engaging learning opportunities. As students progress from one grade to the next, they look forward to grade-level traditions such as field trips and special units of study. Within each school, students from all grade levels work together on annual productions, including the Primary School Christmas Program, the Lower School Spring Musical, and the Middle School Veterans Day Ceremony.
The entire FBA family takes part in school-wide traditions throughout the school year. Cheering for the Warriors on the playing field, raising funds to support the school, collecting items for a charity drive – these are just some of the ways the FBA family rallies together year after year.
The most cherished traditions at FBA, however, aren’t tied to a calendar: the traditions of excellence and caring. Multiple accreditations affirm the level of excellence found in classroom instruction, academic performance, and boardroom planning. The school’s noted culture of personal attention and spiritual nourishment is evidence of the long-held tradition of caring for students and guiding them toward becoming the young men and women God created them to be.
